Three collaborative piano recitals were given in lieu of a written dissertation. The first dissertation recital, entitled Jazzical, was a lecture-recital that explored the blending of classical and jazz styles in 20th-century chamber music. The second recital was a staged version of Hugo Wolf’s complete Italienisches Liederbuch. The final recital, Love from a Distance, featured vocal music centered on the theme of lovers longing to be together.
