HUBUNGAN KELEKATAN TERHADAP ORANG TUA DENGAN PENYESUAIAN DIRI PADA MAHASISWA PERANTAU

Self-adjustment will be experienced by each individuals especially for the individuals who choose to wander about or migrate and attachment relationship with parents is one of the factors that influence adjustment. Attachment that intertwined between individuals and the person one’s feel the attachment that is parents continuously will shape individuals’ self-confidence particularly for the individuals who choose to continue their education outside of their residence. This study attempts to find out the relationship between attachment to parents and adjustment of migrant students. This study is designed by using correlational quantitative research. Data sampling technique used cluster sampling by involving 400 migrant students who come from outside Java with age range of 18- 21 years old as samples. Data sampling used adjustment to collage scale and inventory of parent and peer attachment scales/instruments. The results of this study show that there is significant positive relationship between attachment to parents and adjustment of migrant students with a correlation number of 0,645
