Some parents who have mentally retarded children are suspected of being difficult to accept their child’s condition as indicated by the condition of parents who experience severe emotional side, difficulty in caring for children, depression, anxiety, nd psychosomatic problems. The presence of emotional intelligence is considered crucial so as to minimize the rejection faced by the parents. This current study is at aim to find out the correlation between emotional intelligence and parents’ acceptance on children with mental retardation.
