While the “gold standard” method for quantitative gene expression analysis is debatable, RNA-seq and qPCR results were more closely matched (see also <a href="http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0115486#pone.0115486.g006" target="_blank">Fig. 6</a>).
