Impaired expression of AMPs in Stat3^ΔIEC mice.

<p>A) Quantitative transcription analysis was performed for small intestine of unchallenged control and Stat3^ΔIEC mice and <i>C</i>. <i>rodentium</i> infected (eight days after infection) control and Stat3^ΔIEC mice. Transcription of the antimicrobial peptides lysozyme, RegIIIγ, RegIIIβ, cryptdin, Pla2g5 and Pla2g2a was normalized to <i>Hprt</i> or <i>Villin</i>.
