The paper presents some important ideas of Samuel Pufendorf’s rights of discourse and his difficult relationship as a reader of Spinoza. He is divided into two main parts, the first shorter seeks to reproduce the Pufendorf’s arguments reading of Chapter XVI of the Theological-Political Treatise, the second longest introduces the definition of natural law and the basic requirements for the characterization of law itself. Seeks to justify the refusal of the author Saxon notion of Spinoza and thus demonstrate that the thesis contained in the Theological-Political Treatise would make the very existence of law.
