Spinoza, for various reasons, deserves to be acknowledged also as legal philosopher. In all of his political texts, there is a direct confrontation of legal concepts, with the aim to denounce certain legal irrationalism, or to indicate ways towards a rational law. Such Spinozistic philosophy of law, that is for sure, never moves itself away from the project of a complete and democratic theory of politics, also working as an instrument.
