ШЛЯХИ ОПТИМІЗАЦІЇ ВИКЛАДАННЯ НАВЧАЛЬНОЇ ДИСЦИПЛІНИ «ФІЗИЧНЕ ВИХОВАННЯ» У ВНЗ

In the present article special attention has been focused on the importance of organizing student physical education in the national higher school as one of the components of the professional training of future specialists. A strong emphasis has been placed on the unresolved problem of motivating students to do sports and other physical activities, to perceive physical education as a vital value, to maintain physical activity both while studying in a higher education institution and during further professional life by means of taking traditional approaches to organizing physical education classes. It has been proved that to improve physical fitness, to increase the level of mental and physical qualities of students, to preserve and strengthen their health it is absolutely necessary to adopt brand-new approaches, methods and technologies which should conform to individual needs as well as promote the most effective realization of students’ interests, inclinations and abilities. The author of the present paper has suggested ways to optimize the teaching of the academic subject "Physical Education" in higher education institutions by implementing innovative learning technologies, such as sports-oriented and person-oriented technologies. These technologies allow students to study deeply some particular kinds of sports and modern systems of physical exercises; to develop a strong habit of exercising every day, using various rational forms; to provide systematic physical training for therapeutic or sports purposes, thus forming healthy lifestyle habits; to receive information about the core values of physical culture and sports
