The 1991 excavation campaign on the Bavay forum focused on the southern large portico and the southern wing of the cryptoporticoes. In the portico, one begins to make out the different stages of its construction. Its architectural organization remains still to be detailed, but one now knows that there have been profound alterations between the first stage and the following ones. Its latest occupation is still ill-known because of numerous recent disturbances. The excavation of the dumping site of the southern wing of the cryptoporticoes has been carried on and the proposed late datation (end of the IVth century, first third of the Vth) has been confirmed by the material discovered (Germanic pottery, Argonne mul-lers).La campagne de fouilles...
