PERANCANGAN SISTEM KENDALI OTOMATIS PJU UNTUK MENINGKATKAN EFISIENSI DAYA LISTRIK DAN MONITORING BERBASIS IoT

Public street lighting is one of the lighting that is crucial for safety, whether it is intended for pedestrians or vehicles. There are a relatively large number of installed PJUs and for maintenance they still rely on damage reports from pedestrians or motorized vehicle drivers. In addition, in its implementation, the PJU is activated manually by an operator when it is considered dark enough for the PJU to light the way. This raises problems including manual maintenance not in real time, it is possible that one PJU unit is known to be damaged after several days of experiencing an error, the use of electric power is less effective, and it still depends on humans for checking activities which can be missed and take a long time. By considering the problems mentioned and developing existing IoT technology, it is hoped that PJU maintenance activities can be carried out in real time or in a fast response manner so as not to cause safety problems on public roads. In addition, by implementing fuzzy control on PJU activation, it is hoped that the level of effectiveness in using electrical energy will increase so that the development of IoT technology can support the development of energy generators which are considered to be quite stagnant. In this study, the tool used is an embedded system that already supports one of the IoT protocols, namely the MQTT protocol, so that only a microcontroller is needed that can communicate with the IoT module so that a control system is integrated with IoT communication that is centered on an operator. The operator here only serves as a warning receiver and sets the mode on the PJU that has been installed so it doesn't require 100% human intervention
