This research aims to know the rate of cooling, distortion and the mechanical properties on low carbon steel A36 from FCAW welding process by adding of static cooling and transient flame variant. In this research used transient temperature, that is 150°C , 250°C and 350°C and adding of water flow at static cooling. Material used is steel plates carbon a36, electrodes used is aws e71t-1. A kind of welding used is flux cored are welding (fcaw). The test used is cooling rate test, distortion and tensile strength test. The result showed that the static cooling during the welding procces can increase cooling sped, minimize distortion and tensile strength.
