ANALISIS USAHATANI PADI DI KECAMATAN PRONOJIWO KABUPATEN LUMAJANG PASCA ERUPSI GUNUNG SEMERU

Rice farming in mountainous areas provides high benefits for the people who live around it, especially farmers in Lumajang Regency. Lumajang Regency is one of the regencies in East Java Province which is classified as having a disaster-prone area, especially in Supiturang Village, Pronojiwo District. Supiturang Village, Pronojiwo District, is a mountainous area located around Mount Semeru. Mount Semeru is a volcano that has the highest level on the island of Java, with a peak of Mahameru, 3,676 meters above sea level (masl). The aims of this study were (1) to determine the adaptation of rice farmers to the situation prone to the cold lava disaster of Semeru, (2) to analyze the income and feasibility of rice farming in the cold lava disaster-prone village of Mount Semeru. The types of data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. This research uses quantitative methods. The location of this research is located in two villages, namely Supiturang Village and Oro Oro Ombo Village, Pronojiwo District, Lumajang Regency. Testing data analysis using SPSS, namely the analysis of the Normality Test and the One Sample T-Test. The results showed that the income of rice farming from the two villages was 30%, this shows that the income generated after the eruption in 2020 was small. This is because the land owned by farmers is partly affected by cold lava and volcanic ash, so many have experienced crop failures which have an impact on decreasing rice farming income in Pronojiwo District
