Legislation act of Fruit juices and nectars (Sl. list SRJ, No. 33/1995) and the new draft (new scheme of legislation concerning fruit, juices and nectars) are analyzed and compared in the paper. The aim was to determine the differences between old and new legislative acts. Both have general parameters of quality, such as ethanol and lactic acid contents. The new legislation includes specific parameters of quality adopted from A.I.J.N. (Association of the Industry of Juices and Nectars from Fruits and Vegetables - Code of Practice COP).
