Study of signal integrity and synopsys primetime SI

One of the most imp01tant advances in deep sub-micron level design is in the area of signal integrity. Signal integrity issues are not only preventing flawless operation at high speed level design, but also in some cases causing physical damage to the circuits. Study of signal integrity issues has become one of the major requirements of design process. Early detection and analysis for these issues saves a lot of money. This is an era when the clock frequencies are continuously increasing, signal integrity problems are getting more severe, and time that design teams have available to solve these problems and design new products is getting shorter. The product must work successfully the first time since product design teams have one chance to get a product to market. This project aims at studying the major signal integrity issues such as crosstalk, IR drop, power integrity, electromigration and find out the tradeoffs during design which will lead to a successful design.
