Wonderweiss: An interactive fiction system that uses a 2D graphical interface

Interactive fiction systems have been in development for a few years now, ever since the release of Zork, an interactive fiction game. Since then, many IF systems were released that have different approaches to interaction between the user, the virtual world, and the story being generated. Also, different algorithms and frameworks in story generation for interactive fictions systems were developed, such as those implemented in Nick Monfortâ Curveship and Michael Young\u27s Mimesis. However, most of these systems are still text-based and the generated stories have general genres rather than genres aimed for a specific age group. The research will focus on how to implement a graphical design for the virtual world on an IF system, implement a story generation system which is similar to a choose your own adventure book and to research on popular genres of a particular age group, as well as apply it to the system to be developed by the researchers
