Add to ORKGThe thesis is structured in two parts. The first, theoretical one, describes hydroenergy, components used in hydroelectric power plants and water turbine fundamentals. The second part, concerning small hydroelectric power plant design, aims at studying possible utilization of the Biely Váh watercourse, for the purpose of a power plant construction. In selected location, earth-filled dam with intake tower was designed, with a generator room situated under the dam. In mechanics part, there were devised two cross-flow turbines attached to generators through two-speed gearboxes.
