Boon was born in 1781 in either Georgia or North Carolina. He lived in Warrick County and was lieutenant governor when Jennings resigned as governor to take a seat in Congress. Boon was governor for 84 days and sought to reapportion the general assembly to give representation for several new central Indiana counties. He resumed his previous office until 1824 and later served in Congress. He died in 1844 and is buried in Missouri.Use of this image is restricted to IHS reference purposes only.
