This work, linked to the Law and Social Vulnerability research line, has as its central theme the fight against violence against women and seeks to assess the extent to which criminal protection can contribute to the fight against violence against women in Brazil. Violence against women and the numbers of this violence show us that the challenges are as great as the achievements, and that the criminalization of conduct, or worsening of sentences, or the creation of qualifiers, can give women greater protection against violence.
