This paper aims to analyze the relationship between the foundation myths of Acarnania and Anfilochia and the figures of Alcmaeon and Amphilochus, the sons of the diviner Amphiaraus. We consider that both the prestige of the two figures, belonging to the Theban cycle, and its proximity to the world of divination were decisive factors in the construction of those founding myths.El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo profundizar en las relaciones entre los mitos fundacionales de Acarnania y Anfiloquia y las figuras de Alcmeón y Anfíloco, hijos ambos del adivino Anfiarao.
