Open Educational Resources to Promote Good Practice in School

This resource is an OER produced as part of the Digital Futures in Education (DeFT) project funded as a part of the third phase of the HEA/JISC/UKOER programme. The project's aim was to develop guidance on digital literacy practices in education and the use of OER in teaching and learning.This case study focuses on work undertaken by Michael Payton-Greene, a key stage 4 English co-ordinator. The project involved members of five departments at Wales High School (Art, Maths, English, Modern Languages, and Physical Education) and aimed to explore the use of blogging to:\ud •Facilitate communication across the school and sharing of good practice in teaching and learning\ud •Support professional development in the area of digital literacy\ud •Create a bank of resources focusing on innovative assessment\ud •Examine issues involved in sharing teaching materials openly
