Pag© -2- Broposed Constitution Preparatory Committee Student Association (Suggested Name) Faculty of Ayts and Sciences Tffii AMERICAN DNIVERSI1Y AT CAIRO 5* This additional representative (4) shall be an official member of the Council with all th© duties and privileges thereunto appertaining* Section II* The following qualifications for Council je ix.rii .Ip shall be observed* 1* Candidacy for Council membership shall be restricted-by the academic ineligibility rule* 2* There shall be no restriction on re-election of former Council members* boction III* The Council shall be organised in the following manner* 1* The officers of the Council shall bet the President, the Vice President, the Secretary* A Treasurer shall be elected if and when needed* 2* Hie officers of the Council shall be elected by the members of the Council from their number on. , the Thursday following the seoend Monday in December under the supervision of the representative elected by the Faculty* 3* The Council officers shall be elected in December and shall remain in office so long as the Council remains in power* 4* If the elected President should be a Senior, the Vice President shall not be a Senior* 5* If the President be a Senior, the Vice President shall automatically become President of the Council in October of the following academic year and shall hold that office until the elections in December* 6* In the event that neither the President nor the Vice President return in October the Secretary shall be responsible for convening the Council inte ia©e%M9g and shall presiue ever the Council until the December elections* 7* In the event that the President, the Vico President, and the Secretary do not return in October, che Faculty Sponsor shall be responsible for calling the Council together* lie shall supervise the election of temporary officers who shall hold their offices until the December elections
