· , I I THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN CAIRO Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees February 16, 1976 The University, Cairo Present were Mrs. Lord, Messrs. Bacon, Battle, Bickford, Byrd, Crary, Devine, Hedlund, Jungers, Reed, Simpson, Stone, Tamraz, Thorne (Chairman), Van Vleck, Winder; also attending were Messrs. Wallace, Gendron and O'Connor. 1. The agenda was adopted without modification. 2. The minutes of the meeting of October 15, 1975 were approved. 3a. Election of New Trustee - The Chairman, Mr, Thorne, welcomed Mr. Frank Jungers whose election to the" Board was ratified by the Trustees at their meeting of October 15, 1975. Mr. Jungers' term was set to begin at once and to run until December 31, 1978, or until his successor is duly elected. 3b. Report of the Nominating Committee - The report was given by the Committee Cnairman, Dr. Simpson, as follows. There have been two resignations from the Board: Mrs. Reed and Mr. Richardson. A motion was duly made, passed and carried accepting the resignations of Mrs. Reed and Mr. Richardson with dppreciation for their service. A motion was made, seconded and duly passed re-electing the following Trustees to three-year terms: Mrs. Lord and Mrs. Hammond, and Messrs. Bickford, Black, Simpson, Thorne, Wells, Winder
