T e join use o his space is a van ageous as i rows e libraries of the two "graduato" units of the University together, makes it possible for the two units to join in the employment of a librarian, and releases space now used for libraries and badly needed for class-room and office purposes by the two units. The cost of the conversion will bo as follows: Steel shelving. . , L E 426 Painting . ..e . . . . 130 Lighting changes. . . . . 12 0 8 @ ßp3.00 - ÿi>1,704.00 It is recommended that the shelving, which can be fully utilized in the eventual new library building, be charged to the library building fund, and that the painting and lighting be absorbed in building maintenance. The SRC will pay the salary of a librarian for this current year (and possibly for the next) and can do so out of its present budget, while the SOS provides the space. Mr. Geddes, a graduato student in the SOS and well qualified for the work, has been appointed by the administration as of January 9, 1956, at a salary of L.E.30 per month. b. The conversion of Room #114 into a Little Theatre.
