110 Division of Extension Page 9. A. EXTENSION LECTURES 1936-37 (1) The general topic of lectures this year, "Essentials for National De-velopment in Egypt" was greatly appreciated by the public. The lecture pro-gramme was announced shortly after signing the Treaty between Great Britain and Egypt and the general question that was engaging the enlightened people at that time was, "How to Develop Egypt?" The lecturers showed their appre-ciation of the well chosen topics by accepting the Director's invitation to cooperate in the propramme. Though all of them are busy men, only one person regretted that he could not promise to give a lecture as he was schedu-led for an inspection tour outside of Cairo.
