Farag, in Arabic, for men, the seventh being a showing of films on these diseases, secured from the League of Red Cross Societies in Paris. Average attendance 390. "ewspapers made some reports and printed some open letters on the subject. B. One illustrated lecture on the Geology of Egypt by Dr. W. F. Hume, in English, Attendance about 100. II. 1924-25 A. Four series of lectures, illustrated, given in Assembly Hall 1. In English - admission fee charged: a. By Mrs. R.L. Devonshire, 5 lectures on "The Moslem Builders of Cairo". Average attendance 61. b. By Capt. K.A.C. Creswell, 5 lectures of "The History of Moslem Architecture in Egypt". Average attendance, 50. These two series cost us nothing except the time of the Director; but, on the contrary, made a small profit. They were fully re-ported in the Egyptian Gazette and somewhat in other English and French journals. Such distinguished persons as Lady Allenby and the Swedish minister were regular attendants. 2. In Arabic - free: a. On "Aviation" by Dr. Kirdany of the School of Engineering. A course of five lectures were given and repeated, except the fifth which was given once, a total of nine, with an average attendance of 187. Tickets issued were over 900 and were given only upon application but 443 were not used at all 200 " used once 107 " " twice 49 " " three ties 28 " " . four times 18 " " five times The average attendance of ticket holders was 81, while an average of 106 were admitted each tiue without tickets.
