6. RELATIONS WITH THE FACULTIES: The Faculty of any College may, through its plan intro-duce a resolution in the Council. Similarly the Council may introduce 'a resolution in the meeting of any Faculty. The Council, the Faculty of any College, or the Pres-ident, may refer any matter requiring settlement to the Trustees. ARTICLE VIII Board of Advisors. The Trustees shall appoint a Board of Advisors of not less than twelve nor more than twenty one persons living in Eg pt or adjacent countries, who shall be requested to advise the President and Council of the University on such matters as he desires to bring before them and also to report annually to the Board of Trustees their judgment as to the developdent of the University. This Board shall meet at least once a year at the call of the President of the Univer-sity who shall preside at the meetings. A majority of the members of this Board shall be missionaries. The regular term of service shall be for four years and the Board shall be so constituted that the terms of office of approxi-nat ely one-fourth of its members shall expire each year. A majority of the members of the Board of Advis-ors shall constitute a quorum. ARTICLE IX The General Association The General Association is constituted in order that the friends and supporters of the University may consolidate their interest, have a recognized relationship to the University, and be in position to enlist others in its behalf. It consists of members who contribute to the support or endowment of the University and of life members elected by the Trustees. It will be governed by a Directing Committee appointed by the Trustees. Other committees will be appointed as required. . The General Association shall convene annually for the election of officers and other business, and shall hold such other meetings as may be determined by the Directing Committee. Local chapters of the Association for the purpose of holding parlor meetings and bringing the friends of the University together, may be formed as expedient. Those who become members of the:, General Association can render a real service to the work of the University, quite apart from what they may feel free to contribute directly towards its financial support. Their interest and faith in the University will be of the highest value. Their thought for its welfare cannot but express itself in some form. Life will beget life; interest, interest, each after its own kind. It is impossible that marry or few or even one person should long bear the burden of a work like this daily on their hearts and nothing come of it
