Analisis Kualitas Lingkungan Permukiman Menggunakan Citra Pleiades Dan Sistem Informasi Geografis Di Kecamatan Godean, Kabupaten Sleman

Population growth in an area can have an impact on settlement growth both in urban areas and in rural areas. Settlement studies can be seen from various aspects such as geographical, sociological, economic, and political aspects. One aspect of settlement studies is based on geographical aspects by looking at the quality level of the settlement environment. The quality of the residential environment can determine the level of community welfare in an area. This study has two main objectives, namely to analyze the quality level of the settlement environment in Godean Sub-district and to analyze the settlement distribution patterns based on several geographical aspects in Godean Sub-district. In general, the method used in this study is a weighted tiered analysis method to determine the quality of the settlement environment and qualitative analysis of settlement distribution patterns. Based on the results of the analysis in Godean Sub-district, there are three quality classes of residential environment, namely good, medium, and bad. Good residential classes are located in 42 residential blocks with an area of 520.55 hectares. The medium settlement class is located in forty residential blocks with an area of 339.45 hectares. Bad settlement classes are located in four residential blocks with an area of 14.84 hectares. The pattern of settlement distribution in Godean Sub-district based on qualitative analysis has a pattern of approaching the main road network (provincial road status) and activity centers located in the city of Yogyakarta. The results of this analysis can be used as a reference for the local government to plan policies related to sustainable settlement development. In addition, analysis and mapping of settlement quality can be used as knowledge for local communities to further increase awareness of protecting their settlement environment
