Analisis Tingkat Kualitas dan Faktor Dominan Penentu Kualitas Permukiman di Kecamatan Pakualaman dan Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta

Problems of settlements is an example of problems found in urban area, including Yogyakarta city. Pakualaman Subdistrict and Umbulharjo Subdistricts are sub-districts located in Yogyakarta City with high increasing population. The high settlements density makes these subdistrict had possibility belongs to slum area especially on the banks of the Code River, Manunggal River and Gajahwong River. The existence of slums, high increasing population growth, and the location of Pakualaman Subdistrict and Umbulharjo Subdistricts that traversed by the Code River, Manunggal River and Gajahwong River need help with the quality of their settlements in order to obtain the comfort level of Pakualaman and Umbulharjo Districts to be inhabited. The purpose of this study are (1) analyzing and mapping the quality of settlements in Pakualaman Subdistrict and Umbulharjo Subdistrict, Yogyakarta and (2) Analyzing the dominant factors affecting the quality of settlements in the Districts of Pakualaman and Districts of Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is interpretation of Quickbird imagery to collect settlement quality parameter information by weighted scoring analysis to determine the quality class of settlements, and multiple regression analysis to determine the dominant factors affecting settlement quality. The results of this study indicate that Pakualaman and Umbulharjo subdistricts have three classes of quality they are good, moderate and high quality settlements. Poor quality classes dominate these two districts with an area of 314.85 hectares (Ha) and are spread throughout the village. The medium quality class has an area of 102.24 hectares which is spread throughout the villages in Pakualaman subdistrict and Umbulharjo subdistrict. Meanwhile, good quality class has an area of 24.3 Ha. The dominant factor obtained from the interpretation of the results of the regression processing and the most dominant factor obtained that improves the quality of settlements in Pakualaman and Umbulharjo Districts is settlement density with contribution value 51,04%
