It shows that you have been good that you have, reached your 79th year, still full of interest in the good things of this world and able to enjoy with added knowledge each day\u27s blessings as they arrive. I have been hard at work and am still, on a book on Alaska, pegging away making slow progress. A first volume of autobiography, My boyhood and youth , has just been published by Houghton, Mifflin & Co. and as soon as it reaches the book stores I will send you a copy, which perhaps you will enjoy as recalling some of the little inventions that I made.As to that affair of helping to build the church, if I were to comply with all the requests I would not have a dollar left by the end of the week, but anyhow I have no doubt you will visit California again in 1915, and we will settle this at that time. I am in haste to get this letter off, which ought to have been answered before, and will look forward with great pleasure to your visit and we will talk over old memories.
