A line up of 3 Bristol Bulldog aircraft, and 2 Westland Wapiti aircraft of No 1 Squadron RAAF at Darwin during the period 19 - 28 March 1932. Originally 3 Bulldogs and 3 Wapitis had departed from Point Cook to fly to Darwin to meet the three RAF Southampton flying boats due from Singapore. One Wapiti flown by the detachment commander Sqn. Ldr. Hepburn with Sgt. C. Scott was left behind at Charleville with engine problems. The remaining aircraft carried on to Darwin arriving on 19 March. They were flown as follows: Wapiti AS-34, Fly Off. H. W. Berry and F. Sgt. Stewart and second Wapiti AS-35 Flt. Lt. F. V. B. Wight and LAC Doran. The 3 Bulldogs, AIZ-1 and two others were flown by Sqn. Ldr. Summers, Flt. Lt. R. H. Simms and Sgt. L. M. Depros...
