Aeroplane

G. P. Fairbairn and K. Shenstone arrived in Darwin on 18 April 1931 following a flight from England in a Spartan Arrow aircraft G-ABHD. On 29 April Fairbairn took the aircraft on a test flight however engine problems forced the aircraft down on Casuarina Beach where it remained until 29 April when Fairbairn completed repairs and flew back to Darwin. The two departed in G-ABHD on 2 May 1931 for Melbourne where it eventually arrived on 11 May 1931.Rodd, A. H.Date:1931-0
