Game as an instrument of developing competence of problem solving

The thesis is concerned with game, its qualities, categories, benefits and is primarily focused on possibilities to use it as a method to develop a competence of problem solving. It deals with fact how the game can contribute to learn to solve problems. It also points out that nowadays people are overloaded by increasing exigencies in the field of problem-solving and therefore it is suitable to use new educational methods, i.e. game, to develop a competence of problem solving. The thesis is then trying to point out advantage of including games suitable for development of above mentioned competence not only in preschool institution and schooling but also in playtime activities and family education. The thesis analyses competence of problem solving as one of the key competences. Thesis's objective consists in the close introducing of possibilities to use games and game programs in the field of developing competence of problem solving
