Slovenci v procesu pridobivanja formalne izobrazbe

As people mature, so their life conditions change. Frequently, their social status is improved in comparison with that of the previous family, and new educational opportunities are opened up for them. If earlier, as children and adolescents, they did not continue their schooling, they now have the opportunity to make up for this through “second chance education”. This is known in Slovenia as “education in second life opportunities”. A higher degree of formal education is the basis for lifelong education. If a person is not sufficiently open-minded and is not wholly developed, he or she cannot continue acquiring all the necessary knowledge, and will find it harder to develop his or her personal abilities. This is why such individuals become increasingly distanced from their environment. For people who Jack the appropriate formal education, the short-term forms of supplementary training are not of great assistance and are often unsuccessful. The implementation of programmes for acquiring a formal education requires great flexibility, combined with a concomitent matching of the courses to particular learning groups, and also didactic adaptation. Pogosto se jim socialni status izboljša v primerjavi s prejšnjo družino in odprejo se jim nove možnosti za izobraževanje. Če prej kot otroci in mladostniki niso nadaljevali šolanja, poskusijo to opraviti sedaj (second chance education). To imenujemo “izobraževanje druge življenjske priložnosti”. Višja stopnja formalne izobrazbe je podlaga za vseživljenjsko izobraževanje. Če je človek premalo razgledan in premalo razvit, si tudi ne more sproti pridobivati vseh potrebnih znanj in težko razvija svoje sposobnosti. Zato ga okolje vedno bolj izloča. Pri ljudeh brez ustrezne formalne izobrazbe krajše oblike dopolnilnega izobraževanja ne pripomorejo veliko in niso uspešne. Izvajanje programov za pridobivanje formalne izobrazbe zahteva veliko fleksibilnost, sprotno prilagajanje programov posamezni učni skupini in didaktično prilagajanje. Zašolanje (schooling) izobraževanja odraslih v enotah za odrasle pri rednih šolah zelo znižuje uspešnost.
