The series of “Landscape” compositions describe various images of the land of the composer’s birth as crystallized in his mind over time. This work, Rhapsody, is inspired by the rhapsodies of Homer’s Illiad. It was commissioned by Eleftherios Kalkanis, Music Director of the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Athens, for a projected concert of new works by Greek composers, to be presented in Athens, 2002
