Were the adult people in the Medieval Hungary indifferent to their children or can we found examples for the attitude of loving care? Some stones in Hungarian sources reflect a horrorisric picture. According to a contemporary writer István Brodarics, after the lost batde of Mohács (1526) mothers buried their litde children, so that the cry of the babies did not betray them. On the other hand, there are many examples in the sources about the gendeness and loving care of the adults toward their children. According to Herbord's biography about St. Otto of Bamberg, King Bela the Blind told a beautiful prayer for his litde daughter, when he let her go to the German Empire to get married there.
