A resident of Csongrád, Hungary, found an enamelled copper plate from an Árpád age processional cross, a corpus, and some coins of King Béla III (1172–1196) near Felgyő. He donated the objects to the Tari László Museum in Csongrád. This paper analyses the processional cross with a goal to determine it’s dating. Processional crosses were in use in Europe from the 8th–9th century on, and, in the 12th century, they became an obligatory equipment in the churches. Consequently, this was the period when goldsmith centers were established around Limoges, France. These centers provided almost the entire territory of Europe with enamelled liturgical objects.
