The article defends the teaching of History and Geography in primary and secondary school. The argument for teaching them independently is that didactic work and academia rigor must go hand in hand, which suggests that the teacher handles well these two subjects -traditionally called Social Sciences or Studies in primary education- and of the teaching elements proper of each discipline. Emphasis is made on the idea that both disciplines, supported by other social sciences, must contribute to the intellectual development of students as much as other subjects do, beginning by logical actions that boost the cognitive capacity and make the individual's personal contribution to social welfare evident.El artículo presenta una defensa de ...
