The winners of the events are as follows: 1st Event, sponsored by Arndt Motors, was won by the M. Linn Rink from Lethbridge. Second in the First Event was M. Nilsson from Warner Third in the First Event was B. Me Coullough from Coronation. Fourth in the First Event was Grace Navratil from Magrath. Tuesday, March 10 th, the Magrath Chamber of Commerce presented Mrs. Janet Boucher with a framed picture of her husband, the late Harold D. Boucher, ana an engraved plaque acknowledging his cont ribution in saving our railroad. Mrs. Boucher expressed her thanks and appreciat­ion and then presented them to Mrs. Doreen Alston to hang in the library. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Susan Riley, sister of the bride, Lisa Stringam sister of the groom and Mrs. Debbie Cook, sister of the bride. Attending the groom were Cam Cook, Danny Twitchen and Jamie Stringam, the groom's brother. Flower girls were Mandy & Janae James, nieces of the bride. The Assembly Hall was attractively decorated with dozens of balloons and bows in the bride’s colors of peach and white. A delicious supper was served to the wedding guests with Margaret Sabey and Melva Christensen in charge of the kitchen. Mary Baker was in charge of the punch and cake, Bessie Cook of the serving. Lorraine Balderson. Cornelius J. Graveland, beloved husband of Mrs. Patricia Graveland of Del Bonita, passed away in Cardston, Tuesday, March 9/82 at the age of 62 years. Born in Magratfc, raised and educated in Del Bonita, the late Mr. Graveland served in the Canadian Armed Forces during World War Two. He farmed the family homestead at Del Bonita until his passing. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, two sons Douglas and William both of Lethbridg one daughter, Mrs. G. (Kay) Scattergood of Picture Butte; three brothers, William of California, Henry and David of Lethbridge, and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, March in St. Andrews United Church, Cardston Robert Schwab officiating. The Opening Hymn was "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet". Lloyd Sabey offered the invocation. The Sacrament Hymn was "Jesus, Once of Humble Birth". Special musical numbers rendered included a solo by Susan Parkins accompanied by Bonny West; Male Quartet by Byng Beazer, Cal Alston, L.B. Tanner, Eldon Coleman; Musical by Barbara Terryl and Kim Reeder. Speakers for the service were Alan Mill--, Berry Gorham, Bernice Finch, Frances Parkins, Eugene Parkins, Philip Parkins with closing remarks by Bishop Bob West. The closing hymn was "When Upon Life’s Billows". The benediction was offered by Iola Harker.
