RELASI MANUSIA DENGAN ALAM DALAM NOVEL TANJUNG KEMARAU KARYA ROYYAN JULIAN (SEBUAH TINJAUAN EKOLOGI SASTRA)

Literature is a work that represents human life. The natural environment is one of the human environments that is represented in literary works. Similarly, in the novel Tanjung Kemarau, the work of Royyan Julian is dominated by the depiction of the natural environment with human life. Based on that, the problems raised in this study are (1) how the depiction of natural damage by the author in the Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian (2) how is the depiction of the character's resistance to the destruction of the natural environment in the Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian, and (3) how is the description of the character's efforts in preserving the natural environment in the Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian. This study uses a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The source of research data sourced from the Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian was published by Grasindo in 2017. The data used in this study are in the form of paragraphs from narrative sentences and inter-group dialogue in the Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian. The data collection technique used in this study begins with selecting data sources, collecting data, grouping and providing code numbers in the table of research instruments. While the data analysis technique used is the Mills and Huberman data analysis technique using three stages, namely reducing data, presenting data and attracting the final conclusion of the research data. The steps of this research begin with planning, implementation and completion. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was concluded that (1) the depiction of damage to the natural environment in the Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian are two things, namely forest damage due to land clearing and environmental damage due to waste and garbage, (2) depicting the characters' resistance to natural damage there are two things that are related to resistance by individual means and resistance in a collective way, while (3) portrayal of the efforts of leaders in the preservation of the natural environment related to reforestation actions, not disposing of waste into rivers and seas, not making illegal fishing and natural destruction, or socializing living environment
