Les comportements de fécondité des régions rurales ont été perçus comme statiques, conservateurs et uniformes. Cet article analyse les changements et la variation relative de la fécondité légitime de deux agrosystèmes sociaux en Flandre. En nous appuyant sur des données individuelles longitudinales provenant des registres de population, nous analysons le cours de la baisse de la fécondité à partir de deux études de cas. En outre, nous utilisons les estimations de Kaplan Meier pour examiner l’impact sur le comportement de la fécondité légitime de différents facteurs tels que la profession, l’âge au premier mariage, l’expérience de la migration urbaine et la fécondité prénuptiale.
