This document is the 2006 assessment and enhancement strategy for New Jersey's Coastal Management Program. New Jersey is required by the Federal Coastal Zone Management Act to assess its Coastal Management Program every five years and provide a strategy for program enhancements in nine areas. The required assessment areas are aquaculture, coastal hazards, coastal wetlands, cumulative and secondary impacts, energy and government facility siting, marine debris, ocean resources, public access and special area management planning.
