An Inventory of the New Jersey Coastal Area: A Report to the Governor and Legislature

This report constitutes the environmental inventory mandated under the Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA) of 1973. It aims to take stock of the diverse resources, problems, and opportunities of New Jersey's coast. This inventory documents the existing information, resources, uses of land and water, and pressures on the coastal area.This report is financed in part through Coastal Zone Management Program Development Grant Number 04-5-158-50025 from the Office of Coastal Zone Management, NOAA, under the provision of Section 305 of the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 (Public Law 92-583).Purpose: To be widely-used by those agencies, organizations, and individuals with an interest in the coastal zone
