Ketahanan Padi Varietas Lokal Terhadap Hawar Daun Bakteri

Bacterial Leaf Blight (BLB) caused by Xanthomonas oryzae is an important disease in rice. This pathogen causes yield loss up to 50% due to the diversity of patotypes in various regions of Indonesia. This diversity can break the resistant gene on rice. Therefore, the development of resistant varieties such as the use of horizontal resistance may be considered. Horizontal resistance is generally owned by local varieties that have ecologically adapted to the local environment, including against disease-causing pathogens. This research was conducted in the field based on disease incidence, disease severity, infection rate, area under the disease progress curve and the harvested yield. The varieties used are Rojolele, Rojopusur, Mentik Susu, Mentik Wangi, Pandan Wangi, Srikiti, Padang Pariaman, Rati Rahayu, Slegreng Wonogiri, Padi Hitam, Padi Merah Karanganyar, Padi Merah Klaten, IR64PP, IR64S and Inpari 13. The purpose of this research to test local varieties against BLB. The results of this research showed that Rojolele varieties had the lowest disease severity from other test varieties and Srikiti varieties had the high yields than other test varieties
