ANALISIS LOCATION QUOTIENT (LQ) SUBSEKTOR PERIKANAN BUDIDAYA TAMBAK DI KABUPATEN SIDOARJO

Sidoarjo is one of the regions that has considerable potential in the fisheries sector, especially the fish farming sub-sector. The Sidoarjo pond fisheries sub-sector is one of the supporting economic and factors for regional growth, however along with the increasing population, it is also followed by an increase in the need for the residential, industrial and transportation sectors. This condition causes the conversion of ponds to non fisheries. Limited land causes opposition in land use, both between sectors and sub-sectors. Efforts can be made to maintain and develop existing potential, namely by establishing fisheries based and non base commodities so that fisheries activities are more effective and efficient. The aim of this research are: (1) knowing the development of aquaculture ponds in Sidoarjo regency, (2) to discover the pond fisheries sub sector based commodities in sidoarjo regency, (3) to find out the sub districts that became base sectors for the last five years, 2013 to 2017. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive using secondary data. The data analysis method used is using LQ (Location Quotient) analysis and trends analysis. The results of the research shows that the development of pond culture in every single year increases fluctuations. The graph of the development trend of pond fisheries production in Sidoarjo Regency in 2013-2017 shows a positive slope. Fishpond aquaculture commodities are the basis for development in Sidoarjo Regency, equipped with milkfish, black shrimp, tilapia, seaweed and crabs. Sedati, Jabon, Sidoarjo, and Candi Subdistricts are the areas that are the basis for the development of aquaculture pond for the past 5 (five) year
