The aim of this study is the synthesis, isolation and physicochemical characterization of complex compounds between O-, N- organic substrates and metallotoxins. More specifically, this work-project investigates the ability of the toxic metal ions Pb(II) and Cr(III) to a) promote chemistry with O-, N-containing physiological and physiologically relevant organic substrates in aqueous solution, and b) pursue the physicochemical characterization of new binary and ternary species in the solid state and in solution.
