Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan tentang Kualitas Hidup terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan Penderita Hipertensi

Abstract Background: Individuals suffering from hypertension have a lower quality of life than individuals with normal tension. Based on the preliminary study the respondents did not know the meaning of quality of life, how to get a good quality of life, the factors that influence quality of life. The purpose of the study: to determine the effect of health education on the level of knowledge of hypertensive patients about the quality of life at the integrated service post in Pajang Health Center, Surakarta. Research method: The study design used Quasi Experiment with the desaign pretest posttest control group approach. Sample: 48 integrated service post members. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling technique. Instrument: SAP quality of life, questionnaire. Results: F test results showed equality (no difference) between pretest in the experimental group and pretest in the control group, the results of different mean mean dependent experimental group differences in knowledge of hypertensive patients before being given health education after being given health education, the mean test results differ there was no difference in the control group's dependent knowledge of hypertension patients before and after, the results of different tests of independent means 2 groups there were significant differences in the average posttest knowledge in the experimental group and posttest knowledge in the control group. Conclusion: there is an effect of health education on the knowledge of hypertensive patients about quality of life. Keywords: Health Education, Quality Of Life, Knowledge, Hypertension
