Les études sur la Septante. Bilan et perspectives

The discovery of Biblical papyri in Egypt since the end of the last century and that of the scrolls of the Judean Désert (Qumran, Nahal Hever), especially in Hebrew, but also, since 1952, in Greeh, hâve renewed our knowledge of the early history of the Septuagint (LXX) . On the one hand, we are in the possession of fragments of the LXX clearly pre-dating its adopting by Christians ; and on the other hand, we corne in contact with a very important period in the history of the LXX, that of its revision, according to a Hebrew text near its standardized form, which took place in the Jérusalem milieu during the fïrst century A.D. This article, accompanied by detailled bibliographical indications, présents the actual state of the question.
