<p>Treatment was started in 4 weeks old male wistar and GK-rats. 200 µl of NS was administered in wistar (n = 5) and GK (n = 5) rats once a day whereas, IL-1Ra (10 mg/kg body weight) in 200 µl presterilized PF127 gel in GK (n = 5) rats.
