Como recurso didáctico, los videojuegos (VJs) ofrecen elementos que los diferencia y que hacen que las dinámicas de trabajo y de relaciones que se generan con su utilización sean muy interesantes desde el punto de vista didáctico. En este sentido, ayudan a la contextualización de los aprendizajes, pudiendo evitar aquellas concepciones erróneas que desde la abstracción de estos se derivan. A la hora de poner en juego cualquier iniciativa formativa donde el VJ se presente como un importante recurso, se hace necesario conocer y caracterizar a los que serán los posibles usuarios de estos.
