Price elasticity of housing supply is a significant factor in the development of house prices. It defines how markets react to an increase in housing demand, with higher prices or with new supply. Thus, it has a central role in determination of the market price level, as well as, in the volatility of prices. It affects also in the uncertainty related to prices, and in the whole urban development process.
